Hello everyone, It's nice to meet you. I'm your Other Mother, but if you wish you could simply call me Mother, or Mommy, Mom...I don't like Ma very much it sounds rather rough don't you think? Mama is lovely though.

Of coarse Mother.

That's my dear sweet Keramon, he's such a good boy.

Thank you Mother.

Now where was I? Oh yes. It breaks my heart to think of how this world has stolen you all away from your families. So many of you must feel very alone. Even with the families you've made here there really is no substitute is there?

Well, if any of you need anything, if you want to talk or need a hug, a warm meal a light snack, maybe you'd like to play a game?

Mother Loves games.

I do very much. And I love all of you. I can't wait to meet you all and I hope you'll visit me soon.

[Lady, I trust you about as far as I can throw you]

Nothing. Just musing to myself...

[I'm surprisingly aerodynamic~]

An interesting way to do so.

Would you like a cookie? I just finished baking them.

Oh dear I'm sorry I didn't know.

Well I wish you luck on your diet, are you trying to lose weight or firm up?

Mother?

You're not my other mother. She's dead. I saw my mother die.

[none of your damn business--]

Lose weight. Too many sweets. My sister likes baking a lot.

It's been so long hasn't it sweetheart?

Eh? But, you don't sound like her, so you're not her.

That's very nice of her though. Food is such a wonderful way to show you love someone.

Perhaps if you ask she may substitute some of the ingredients for something a little more...slimming? There are many ways to bake a cake after all.

Oh sweetie, I'm your Other Mother. Everyone has one, but usually only those who are lonely, neglected...or those who have lost their mothers meet their Other Mother.

It hurts to think about it doesn't it?

You're not her, you're not my other mother, you're not!

Please dear calm down for a moment, take a few deep breathes and listen to my voice...then listen to your heart.

What is it telling you?

Maybe.

Just an observation, though. You might be comin' on a little strong. [Greg is guessing ulterior motive here, but he won't say that out loud just yet]

Most of the kids around here that have lost parents or left them behind are pretty damn sensitive about it. It's usually a sore subject, and offering yourself up as a replacement is likely going to be met with a lot of screaming and upset.

But... you're dead. I saw you die. You're...dead.

I can only be what I am sweetheart. I offer myself for what I exist to be. It is heartbreaking, but I do what I can.

If it helps don't think of me as a replacement, simply a placeholder. Does that make you more comfortable?

Would I be the first dead person to arrive here?

Lady, I'm thirty seven years old. I don't need a replacement mother. I could barely deal with how over protective my own mom was back home.

Don't get me wrong, I miss my parents like hell, but I'm kinda busy being a DATS agent and father in my own right.

No, but... You died, then father died too. You left me alone.

It must have hurt so bad to be alone for so long.

You don't have to live alone however, that hole in your heart can heal.

By letting your Other Mother love you, care for you.

You've been taking care of yourself for so long haven't you? And others I bet. Making your Mother so proud. I only wish I could have been around to help...to spare you the pain you've endured.

I can't help what I am dear, I was simply trying to help make it less uncomfortable for you.

It brings warmth to my heart to know that not all families were broken up by the cruel fate that brought us here. Children rarely appreciate their parents till they're older but at least you don't have to endure the heartache of being separated from them.

S-Since I was nine... I'm thirty-three right now...

Then why did you leave me?
